Russian President Vladimir Putin completed his India visit on a positive and productive note. He attended a state banquet hosted by President Droupadi Murmu before departing. Soon after the dinner, he went straight to the airport, where External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar welcomed him and formally bid him farewell.

Putin began his trip on Thursday evening when Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally received him at the Delhi airport. The next morning, President Murmu extended an official ceremonial welcome. From that point onward, the Russian President followed a tight schedule and participated in several key events.
Key Outcomes of the India–Russia Summit
During the visit, both leaders took part in the 23rd India–Russia Annual Summit. They reviewed ongoing projects and discussed new areas of cooperation. As a result, several important agreements were finalised.
Moreover, the two nations held crucial talks on defence, energy, trade, and technological collaboration. These discussions are expected to strengthen the long-standing strategic partnership and open new avenues for growth.
Symbolic Gifts from Prime Minister Modi
Prime Minister Modi also presented President Putin with a thoughtful collection of gifts that reflected India’s culture and craftsmanship. The gifts included:
- A Russian-language edition of the Bhagavad Gita
- Premium Kashmiri saffron
- Assam black tea
- A handcrafted silver tea set from Murshidabad
- A hand-made silver horse from Maharashtra
- A marble chess set from Agra
These gifts further highlighted the warmth between the two leaders and symbolised the deep cultural and diplomatic connection shared by India and Russia.

Overall, Putin ended his India trip with the message, “Let us move together, let us grow together.” This slogan captured the spirit of the visit, which aimed to enhance cooperation across multiple sectors.
