The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has taken a major step to resolve long-pending staffing issues. The Governing Council approved key decisions on appointments, promotions, and service rules. These decisions were taken at the meeting held on December 16. The proposals have now been sent to the state government for final approval. Once approved, the changes will take effect immediately.
New Posts Approved in SV Gosamrakshan Shala
As part of the reforms, the council approved 12 new posts in the SV Gosamrakshan Shala. These include two Assistant Director posts and two Gosala Manager posts. In addition, six Dairy Supervisor posts and two Dairy Assistant posts were sanctioned.
Moreover, TTD officials confirmed that these appointments will cost Rs 1.05 crore annually. However, TTD will meet this expense from its own funds. To be eligible, candidates must hold a diploma in animal husbandry. They must also have at least five years of experience.
Promotions for Long-Serving Medical Staff
Meanwhile, the council approved promotions for medical staff who have waited nearly 30 years. The Radiographer post has now been upgraded to Chief Radiographer. Similarly, the Physiotherapist post has been elevated to a higher level.
As a result, staff in these departments will finally receive long-awaited career progression. This decision is expected to improve morale and service quality.
No Inheritance Rights for Kainkarya Posts
At the same time, the Governing Council addressed issues related to temple kainkarya posts. It rejected demands to grant hereditary rights to the posts of Tallapaka Kainkaryaparadu and Manyam Dar. Instead, appointments will strictly follow the 1987 Act.
Under the revised norms, candidates for the Tallapaka Kainkaryaparadu post must be proficient in Sankirtan. Additionally, they must be under 40 years of age. For the Manyam Dar post, applicants must belong to the Brahmin community and pass at least the 8th class.
Eligibility Rules Revised for Other Posts
Furthermore, TTD revised qualifications for select posts in the Bird Hospital and Srinivasa Ayurveda Pharmacy. These changes aim to match current operational needs.
Overall, these decisions clear the way for filling vacant posts and rewarding long-serving staff. Now, attention turns to the government’s approval for swift implementation.
