Intermediate public exams have started across Andhra Pradesh under tight security and strict rules. Junior Intermediate students wrote their first paper today, while Senior Intermediate exams will begin tomorrow. Officials introduced several new steps this year to ensure fair exams and stop malpractice.
The government is conducting the exams in 1,537 centres across the state. Authorities expect lakhs of students to appear. With strong monitoring and better planning, officials aim to complete the exams without any issues.
Changes in Exam Supervision
This year, the authorities changed the way they manage exam centres. They appointed trained invigilators and extra staff to handle duties smoothly. In addition, they posted one observer at each centre to monitor the process.
At sensitive centres, sitting squads are present throughout the exam. Meanwhile, flying squads are making surprise visits to other centres. These steps help officials act quickly if they find any violations.
CCTV Monitoring and Live Tracking
Officials installed CCTV cameras in every exam hall. They linked these cameras to the Regional Inspection Officers (RIO) and the Intermediate Board offices. As a result, senior officials can watch the exam process live and respond without delay.
This system improves transparency and builds trust among students and parents. It also discourages cheating and unfair practices.
Strict Timings and Entry Rules
The exams will continue until 12 noon each day. However, officials allowed students to enter the centres from 8:30 am. Authorities did not permit students who arrived even one minute late. Therefore, many students reached their centres early to avoid problems.
To maintain peace around the centres, the administration imposed Section 144. Police personnel are on duty to prevent gatherings and ensure order.
Basic Facilities for Students
The government arranged drinking water, electricity, and clean toilets at every centre. Officials checked the facilities in advance to avoid inconvenience to students.
Overall, the Intermediate exams began smoothly across Andhra Pradesh. With strict security, clear rules, and close monitoring, authorities expect the exams to continue fairly and peacefully.
