Hyderabad came alive on Tuesday as the Rathotsavam Jubilee Hills SV Temple procession delighted devotees during the annual Brahmotsavams, drawing large crowds to witness the sacred event.
Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy, along with Sridevi and Bhudevi, ascended the beautifully decorated chariot. At every step, devotees offered camphor aartis, seeking the Lord’s blessings. The chariot moved slowly along the streets, filling the area with devotion and joy.
The procession featured traditional kolatas, soulful wood bhajans, and devotional sankeertans. These performances kept the crowd engaged and created a festive mood. According to temple tradition, seeing the Lord on the chariot can relieve devotees of their sorrows and bring spiritual blessings.
Later at 7 p.m., the Lord is scheduled to bless devotees on the Aswa Vahanam. Local LAC President Sri A.V. Reddy, Temple AEO Sri Ramesh, temple priests, and other officials actively participated. Many devotees joined with enthusiasm and reverence.
The Rathotsavam not only strengthened devotion but also showcased the temple’s rich culture. Devotees expressed gratitude for being part of such a sacred and colourful celebration. This festival continues to inspire faith and community spirit in Hyderabad.
