In Vizianagaram district’s Srungavarapukota mandal, children from the Daraparthi Panchayat have raised their voices to demand proper road access. Frustrated by the lack of infrastructure, the tribal students directly appealed to Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, urging him to address their daily struggles.

The children highlighted severe difficulties faced by residents of villages like Rayapalem, Munapurayi, Chappanigadda, Vippamanavalasa, and Pallapu Dungada. They explained that every day, students walk nearly 12 kilometres on hilly paths and damaged roads just to reach school. During the rainy season, these routes become nearly impassable, making travel even more dangerous.

Longstanding Neglect and Pleas Ignored

According to the children, local leaders and officials have repeatedly requested road improvements for their villages, yet no action has been taken so far. They expressed disappointment that, despite multiple appeals, the authorities have not addressed their basic infrastructure needs.

The students urged Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan to ensure proper road facilities for their villages, stressing that a reliable road network is crucial for education, safety, and overall development. Their plea reflects not only their immediate hardships but also the broader neglect of tribal areas in the region.

The children’s appeal has drawn attention to the pressing need for basic infrastructure in remote tribal communities, highlighting that access to safe roads is still a distant dream for many in rural Vizianagaram.
