Recent atmospheric disturbances have brought noticeable weather changes across the Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. A low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal, along with an active cyclonic circulation, has altered wind patterns and cloud movement in the region. As a result, several districts are now experiencing shifting weather conditions.
Low-Pressure System Triggers Change
Meteorological officials report that a cyclonic circulation currently lies about 1.5 kilometres above sea level near South Karnataka. In addition, a trough stretches from South Karnataka to the Marathwada region of Maharashtra. These combined systems are influencing moisture flow and cloud formation over Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Rainfall Forecast for North Coastal Andhra
North Coastal Andhra and Yanam may receive light to moderate rainfall in isolated areas. In some places, thunderstorms could develop, especially during the afternoon or evening hours. Authorities have also warned of possible thunderstorms and lightning in select pockets.
However, the North Coastal region is likely to remain mostly dry over the next two days. Even so, early morning fog may form in certain areas, which could reduce visibility for commuters.
Dry Spell in Rayalaseema and South Coastal Andhra
In contrast, Rayalaseema and South Coastal Andhra are expected to experience completely dry weather. Forecasts indicate no rainfall from Thursday through Saturday. Skies will likely remain clear, and temperatures may stay stable during this period.
Cloudy Skies Over Telangana
Meanwhile, several districts in Telangana are expected to witness cloudy conditions. Officials predict a slight dip in temperatures due to increased cloud cover. Although widespread rainfall is not expected, the overcast skies may bring cooler mornings and evenings.
Overall, weather officials continue to monitor the low-pressure system and related disturbances. Residents in affected districts should stay alert for updates, especially in areas where thunderstorms and fog may develop.
