Former Gudivada MLA Kodali Nani has stepped back into active politics after staying away from the public eye following the YSRCP’s heavy electoral defeat. Citing health reasons, he had undergone heart surgery and remained on medical leave for several months. Now, he has reappeared on the political stage while visiting senior leader Ambati Rambabu and made strong remarks about the current political climate. Nani expressed confidence about future election results and accused the Telugu Desam Party of deliberately targeting YSRCP leaders.
Targets TDP Over “Red Book” Remarks
During his interaction with the media, Nani criticised Nara Lokesh over the frequently mentioned “Red Book” issue. He dismissed the remarks as political drama and alleged that the ruling coalition government is harassing YSRCP leaders and cadre out of political arrogance.
He asserted that party workers would not fear threats or pressure tactics. According to him, such moves only strengthen the resolve of YSRCP supporters across the state.
Strong Support for YS Jagan’s Leadership
Nani said people still trust the leadership of Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy despite the recent setback. He predicted that Jagan would return to power in 2029 and reclaim the Chief Minister’s post. He described it as a “historical necessity” and claimed that voters want relief from what he called “misrule.”
He also suggested that the current government’s actions could create public sympathy for YSRCP. According to him, political pressure will not weaken the party’s foundation.
