BRS MLC Kavitha Kalvakuntla has strongly criticised the Congress party over Rahul Gandhi’s two-day visit to Telangana, accusing the party of double standards and political drama. Taking to social media, Kavitha questioned whether Rahul Gandhi’s tour would bring real benefits to the people of the state. She alleged that Congress leaders are misleading the public with promises while failing to address key issues affecting Telangana.
Kavitha said Rahul Gandhi speaks about justice and equality during his visits, but she claimed that Congress policies tell a different story. She argued that the party has failed to deliver on its commitments in states where it holds power. According to her, people in Telangana are watching these developments closely and will not be influenced by what she described as temporary political campaigns.
Questions Raised Over Congress Promises
In her remarks, Kavitha challenged Congress leaders to clarify what concrete steps they plan to take for Telangana’s development. She said speeches and rallies alone cannot solve problems faced by farmers, youth, and women. She urged voters to compare promises with performance before believing campaign statements.
She also alleged that Congress leaders often blame others instead of taking responsibility for governance failures. Kavitha said Telangana needs stable and transparent leadership rather than what she termed “political theatrics.”
Focus on Telangana’s Political Climate
Kavitha emphasized that Telangana’s political future should revolve around development, employment, and welfare schemes. She suggested that voters should question visiting leaders about their long-term plans for the state. She added that emotional speeches cannot replace concrete action on the ground.
Her comments come at a time when political activity in Telangana has intensified ahead of the upcoming elections. Leaders from major parties have begun outreach programs to strengthen their base and connect with voters.
