Kohli’s Strong Form Continues
Virat Kohli remains in brilliant form. He smashed back-to-back centuries against South Africa in Ranchi and Raipur. He now aims to prepare steadily for the 2027 ODI World Cup. His recent performances show strong intent and focus.
Confusion Over Vijay Hazare Participation
Reports claimed that Kohli first refused to play the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Later, he reportedly agreed after selectors requested him. Robin Uthappa dismissed these rumours. He said Kohli confirmed his participation three weeks earlier.
“Kohli made the right decision. All the rumours were baseless,” Uthappa said on his YouTube channel.
More Matches Will Help Kohli
Uthappa explained that regular matches keep Kohli sharp. “The more he plays, the better he becomes. It helps him stay in rhythm and score freely,” he said. He added that match practice also strengthens Kohli’s mental readiness.
“Kohli followed this routine for twenty years. He is a master in ODI cricket,” Uthappa said.
Kohli Focused Only on ODIs
Kohli already retired from T20Is and Tests. He now plays only ODIs. After a short break, he returned for the Australia series. He scored two ducks in the first two matches. He bounced back with a solid 74 in the third ODI.
Centuries Against South Africa
Kohli carried that momentum into the South Africa series. He scored 135 in Ranchi. He added another century — 102 — in Raipur. These knocks proved his consistency and determination.
Eyes on Vijay Hazare Trophy
Kohli will now join the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Fans expect him to continue his strong run. The tournament will also help him stay ready for upcoming ODI challenges.
