Bank Holidays 2026: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has officially released the list of bank holidays for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for the year 2026. Customers are advised to plan their banking activities in advance to avoid inconvenience during holidays.
Apart from national holidays, some bank holidays differ between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana due to regional festivals. As usual, all Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays of every month will remain bank holidays across both states. These festive holidays apply in addition to those regular weekly closures.
The RBI clarified that online banking, mobile banking, UPI, and ATM services will continue to operate without interruption even on bank holidays. Customers can use digital services for fund transfers, bill payments, and other transactions.
It is also worth noting that Diwali falls on Sunday, November 8, in 2026, so banks will already remain closed on that day due to the weekly holiday.
