Instagram services were briefly disrupted on Sunday, causing inconvenience to users, mainly in the United States. During the outage, many users struggled to log in or load content on the popular social media platform owned by Meta.
Outage Peaks in the US
According to outage-tracking website Downdetector, the issue peaked around 4:10 am US time. At that moment, more than 180 users reported problems. Many affected users shared screenshots on social media, showing a white screen with only a refresh icon and no error message.

Downdetector data revealed multiple issues during the disruption.

41% faced login difficulties
14% said their feed or timeline failed to load
As a result, users could not access their accounts smoothly for several hours.
Limited Impact in India
Meanwhile, the outage had minimal impact in India. Downdetector showed that only around 10 users across the country reported issues. This indicates that the technical problem was limited to specific regions, primarily the US.
No Official Response from Meta Yet
So far, Meta has not issued an official statement explaining the cause of the Instagram outage. Users are still waiting for clarity on what triggered the disruption.
