Renowned filmmaker Sudha Kongara has revealed her long-standing dream of directing a film with superstar Rajinikanth. Interestingly, she said the project would be a pure love story, not an action or message-oriented film. Her comments have sparked fresh excitement among fans and film circles.
‘A Love Story Is My Dream Project’
Speaking during the promotions of her upcoming film ‘Parashakti’, Sudha Kongara shared her thoughts in an interview. She said she has always loved making emotional love stories. Moreover, she revealed that she already has a story in mind for Rajinikanth.
“I have a full-fledged love story ready for Rajinikanth sir. It is my dream project. However, I still need time to develop it further,” she said.
Comments on Retirement Surprise Fans
At the same time, Sudha Kongara also spoke about retirement. She admitted that continuous filmmaking has taken a toll on her. Therefore, she hinted that she may step away from direction sooner than expected due to exhaustion from workload.

Meanwhile, Sudha Kongara is actively promoting ‘Parashakti’, a political period drama. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, with Srileela as the female lead. Additionally, Atharva and Ravi Mohan play key roles.
The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 10, 2026.
