Chandrababu Naidu Praises Madugula Halwa at Saras–Dwakra Bazaar in Guntur

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited the Saras Exhibition – All India Dwakra Bazaar on the outskirts of Guntur on Tuesday. During the visit, he closely observed the stalls set up by women self-help groups and interacted with the participants.

At the outset, the Chief Minister inspected various stalls showcasing traditional products. These stalls were managed by Dwakra women from different districts and states. The exhibition aims to promote women entrepreneurship and strengthen rural livelihoods.

Chief Minister tastes Madugula Halwa

Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu stopped at a food stall offering Madugula Halwa. He tasted the sweet and praised its flavor. He described the halwa as “very good,” which brought cheer to the women running the stall. As a result, the stall attracted more visitors.

Moreover, the Chief Minister encouraged the women to maintain quality and consistency. He also advised them to explore wider markets. His words boosted the confidence of the women entrepreneurs present at the venue.

Inspection of other stalls

After that, Chandrababu Naidu visited several other stalls. He examined handloom products, handicrafts, and food items. In addition, he interacted with women entrepreneurs and asked about production costs and sales. He listened to their concerns with keen interest.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of such exhibitions. He said they help women gain financial independence. He also noted that these platforms preserve traditional skills while creating income opportunities.

Focus on women empowerment

Chandrababu Naidu reiterated the government’s support for Dwakra groups. He stated that empowering women remains a key priority. According to him, self-help groups play a major role in rural development. Therefore, the government will continue to support marketing and training initiatives.

Along with him, Union Minister Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, State Minister Kondapalli Srinivas, MLA Madhavi, and Guntur District Collector Tamim Ansaria attended the event. Officials briefed the Chief Minister about the exhibition and public response.

Overall, the Saras–Dwakra Bazaar received a strong response from visitors. The Chief Minister’s visit further energized the participants. Ultimately, the event highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s focus on women-led growth and promotion of local products.
