Director Venu, who scored a massive success with Balagam, is back with his next film titled Yellamma. The movie has been in the news for months due to uncertainty around its lead actor. Now, the makers have officially announced that the first glimpse of Yellamma will be released on January 15, increasing excitement among fans.
Initially, actor Nani was expected to play the lead role in the film. However, he later exited the project due to scheduling constraints. After that, the makers confirmed Nithiin as the hero. Unfortunately, Nithiin also stepped away from the film because of unforeseen reasons. As a result, speculation about the hero intensified on social media.
Meanwhile, the film team has remained tight-lipped about the final casting. The upcoming glimpse is expected to provide clarity on the film’s look, narrative tone, and visual style. More importantly, it may offer hints about the lead actor, which fans are eagerly waiting for.
There were also strong rumours about Keerthy Suresh playing the female lead. However, she later clarified that she is not part of the project. As of now, the makers have not officially announced the heroine.
Yellamma is being produced by Dil Raju and Sirish under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. Given Venu’s reputation for rooted storytelling and emotional depth, expectations for the film remain high.
