Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has delivered exciting news for fans of the Drishyam franchise. He officially announced the release date of the much-awaited suspense thriller Drishyam 3. The film will arrive in theatres worldwide on April 2, 2026, Mohanlal confirmed through his social media account.
On Wednesday, Mohanlal shared a motion poster on X (formerly Twitter) to make the announcement. He added a powerful caption that read, “Years have passed. Not the past.” The post instantly grabbed attention and sparked fresh excitement among fans. With this update, curiosity around Georgekutty’s next move has reached a new high.
Jeethu Joseph, who directed the first two parts, is once again at the helm. Antony Perumbavoor is producing the film under the Aashirvad Cinemas banner. Their successful collaboration in the earlier films raised expectations, and audiences now expect another gripping chapter in the franchise.
Hindi Version to Release Later
In an interesting development, the makers confirmed that the Hindi remake of Drishyam 3 will release several months after the Malayalam original. The Hindi version, starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role, will hit theatres on October 2, 2026. Unlike previous instalments, the team has decided not to release both versions simultaneously. Instead, the makers want the Malayalam version to enjoy a longer theatrical run.

Mohanlal will reprise his iconic role as Georgekutty in Drishyam 3. Meena, Ansiba Hassan, and Esther Anil will also return in their original roles.
