Winter Chill Fades, Daytime Heat Increases

The intense winter chill that gripped Telangana for nearly a month has finally eased. As temperatures rise steadily, residents across the state are experiencing noticeable relief from the cold. Usually, winter conditions continue until Shivaratri. However, this year, the cold faded even before Sankranthi, surprising many weather observers.

Moreover, bone-chilling winds have given way to warmer daytime conditions. As a result, people have started feeling the return of mild heat during afternoons.

Temperatures Rise Above Normal Levels

According to the Telangana Meteorological Department, temperatures across the state have increased by 2 to 5 degrees Celsius above normal. In many districts, daytime temperatures are likely to range between 29 and 31 degrees Celsius.

Because of this rise, residents have resumed using fans and air conditioners, especially during the afternoon hours. Meanwhile, nights remain slightly cool, but the severe cold no longer persists.

‘Cold Wave 2.0’ Comes to an End

Weather experts have officially confirmed that ‘Cold Wave 2.0’ has ended in Telangana. Furthermore, they stated that there is no immediate chance of another cold spell.

For the next ten days, the state is expected to experience dry weather conditions. Minimum temperatures will remain close to seasonal averages, offering stable weather across most regions, including Hyderabad.

Dry Conditions to Continue Across Telangana

In addition, officials have clarified that dry weather will dominate Telangana in the coming days. Due to lower humidity levels, afternoons may feel warmer, especially in urban areas.

Consequently, people are advised to stay hydrated and avoid direct sun exposure during peak hours.

Light Rain Likely in Border Districts

However, slight weather changes are expected in a few northern districts. Light rainfall is likely along the Sangareddy and Kamareddy districts near the Bidar border.

Meanwhile, districts such as Adilabad, Asifabad, Mancherial, and Nirmal may witness mild cloud cover. Despite this, no significant rainfall activity is forecast across the state.

Overall Outlook Remains Stable

In conclusion, Telangana is transitioning from winter to warmer conditions earlier than expected. While nights still carry a hint of chill, daytime heat has clearly set in. With dry weather expected to continue, residents can prepare for warmer days ahead.
