Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has begun a crucial visit to Switzerland with a clear goal of attracting large-scale global investments to the state. He will attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos and hold high-level discussions over four days.
The Chief Minister will reach Zurich first and then travel to Davos. Ministers Nara Lokesh and TG Bharat are accompanying him, along with senior government officials.
Andhra Pradesh Prepares Strong Investment Pitch
The Andhra Pradesh government has entered the Davos summit with a detailed investment roadmap. Officials have prepared focused presentations to highlight policy reforms, infrastructure strength, and ease of doing business.
This year’s WEF meeting will host nearly 3,000 delegates from about 130 countries. Around 60 global leaders and heads of government are also attending. Seven Chief Ministers from India are participating in the summit.
The state government plans to use this global platform to showcase Andhra Pradesh as a reliable investment destination.
Focus on Green Energy, AI, and Quantum Technology
The Chandrababu Naidu-led government has placed strong emphasis on future-driven sectors. These include green energy, green ammonia, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and biotechnology.
In addition, the Chief Minister will promote investment opportunities in tourism, hospitality, healthcare, and education. He will also explain the government’s investor-friendly policies and fast-track approval systems to global companies.
Amaravati Quantum Valley Takes Center Stage
One of the key highlights of the Davos visit will be the proposed “Quantum Valley” in Amaravati. The government aims to position the region as a global hub for advanced quantum research and innovation.
Chandrababu Naidu will also present the Advanced Quantum Skilling Programme. The initiative targets training one lakh professionals. Already, over 50,000 candidates have enrolled, reflecting strong interest.
The Chief Minister will further pitch the upcoming green hydrogen and green ammonia production hub at Kakinada as a major clean energy project.
Goal to Surpass Previous Investment Milestone
During the 2025 World Economic Forum, Andhra Pradesh secured investment commitments worth nearly ₹2.36 lakh crore. This year, the government aims to exceed that figure through fresh partnerships and memorandums of understanding.
On the first day of the visit alone, Chandrababu Naidu will take part in seven official engagements.
Meeting the Global Telugu Diaspora
As part of the Davos schedule, the Chief Minister will interact with members of the Telugu diaspora from over 20 countries. He will seek their support in promoting Andhra Pradesh globally.
