A disturbing crime has surfaced in Hyderabad, showing how criminals exploit financial hardship. A married woman lost everything after trusting strangers who promised her quick money through adult film work. The incident has raised serious concerns about online safety and women’s security.
Lured With ₹10 Lakh Offer
According to police, the woman was struggling with financial problems. During this time, a group of men approached her with an offer. They promised to pay ₹10 lakh if she acted in adult films. They assured her the work was legal and safe.
Believing their words, the woman agreed to meet them. The accused then took her to a hotel room in the city, claiming they would begin shooting there.
Crime Inside Hotel Room
Once inside the hotel, the men changed their behaviour. Instead of starting a shoot, they sexually assaulted the woman. After committing the crime, they refused to pay her any money. They later stopped responding to her calls and messages.
Realising that she had been cheated and assaulted, the woman approached the police for help.
Police Register Case, Hunt Begins
The victim filed a complaint at the Yousufguda police station. Police registered a case and launched an investigation immediately. Teams are now searching for the accused.
Officers are also checking if a larger gang operates behind this crime. They suspect the accused may have targeted other women using similar tricks.
Police Warn Against Online Scams
Police officials warned that such crimes are increasing due to social media misuse. Fraudsters now use platforms like Instagram and Telegram to post fake offers. They target women with promises of film roles, modelling work, or easy money.
Officials advised people not to trust strangers online. They also urged women not to share personal details or visit unknown locations alone.
Report Suspicious Activity Immediately
Police requested the public to stay alert. Anyone who notices suspicious offers or behaviour should report it immediately. Victims can call Dial 100 or contact cyber crime police for help.
Authorities stressed that awareness and caution can prevent such crimes. They assured strict action against those involved in this case.
