Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has begun early preparations for the 2027 Godavari Pushkaralu, scheduled from June 26 to July 7 across six districts in Andhra Pradesh. The massive religious event will cover key locations, including Polavaram and Kakinada, and is expected to draw devotees from across the country.
During a recent review meeting, Chandrababu Naidu stressed the urgent need to complete the Polavaram project on priority. At the same time, he directed officials to strengthen riverfront infrastructure along the Godavari. As part of the plan, the government will develop 373 bathing ghats to ensure smooth access for pilgrims.
With nearly 10 crore devotees expected to attend, the Chief Minister underlined the importance of effective crowd management and safety planning. He asked departments to coordinate closely and avoid last-minute delays. He said proper planning would ease the pressure during peak days.
Naidu also said the successful conduct of the Pushkaralu would reflect Andhra Pradesh’s administrative strength. Therefore, he issued strict timelines and asked officials to align all work well before the event begins.
