A major fire accident was reported at a furniture showroom in Nampally, Hyderabad, triggering panic among locals and prompting an immediate emergency response. Flames reportedly broke out on the ground floor of a four-storey building housing the Bacha Crystal Furniture store. Thick smoke and intense fire spread quickly, forcing authorities to rush multiple fire engines to the spot.
Firefighting operations were launched using four fire tenders as crews worked to bring the blaze under control. According to initial information, several people were believed to be inside the building at the time of the incident. Rescue efforts were intensified after locals said a watchman, his wife, two children, a worker, and the shop owner’s driver were trapped inside.
Khairatabad Zone DCP Shilpavalli reached the scene and supervised the rescue and containment operations. Fire personnel and HYDRA teams acted swiftly to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby buildings, avoiding a larger disaster.
The exact cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed. Officials stated that a detailed investigation will be conducted after the fire is fully extinguished. Meanwhile, the incident has raised concerns over fire safety measures in commercial buildings across the city.
