The Andhra Pradesh government has finalised plans for the Assembly Budget Session, with the annual budget likely to be presented on February 14. Preparations are underway to conduct the session over a long schedule, as the government aims to address key financial and development priorities.
According to sources, the Budget Session may run for nearly 18 to 21 working days. On the opening day, the Governor is expected to address both Houses of the Legislature. Soon after the address, the Business Advisory Committee of the Assembly will meet to finalise the session agenda.
During the committee meeting, members are likely to confirm the budget presentation date. In addition, they will decide the number of working days and identify major topics for discussion. The government plans to ensure smooth proceedings by setting a clear legislative roadmap.
Meanwhile, the session is expected to focus on crucial state issues. These include the progress of Amaravati capital works and the Polavaram irrigation project. The government may also explain its financial strategy and future development plans in detail.
