Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma hoisted the national flag at the Secunderabad Parade Ground during Republic Day celebrations and received the guard of honour from the armed forces. Addressing the gathering, he began his speech in Telugu and highlighted the strength of the Indian Constitution. He said the Constitution guarantees freedom and equality, while unity in diversity remains India’s greatest identity. The Governor underlined Telangana’s progress and set a positive tone for the state’s future vision.
After the ceremonial salute, the Governor spoke about the goals outlined by the elected government under the “Rising Telangana–2047” vision. He stated that the roadmap sets fresh and ambitious targets for the coming decades. According to him, Telangana has emerged as a national leader in food grain production, reflecting the strength of its agricultural sector. He credited farmers and policy support for this achievement.
Governor Jishnu Dev Varma also stressed that the “Telangana Rising” document plays a key role in strengthening Hyderabad’s global image. He said the document reflects balanced growth, innovation, and inclusive development. Furthermore, he noted that Hyderabad continues to grow as a major economic and technological hub, contributing significantly to the state’s reputation.
Concluding his address, the Governor called for collective efforts to protect constitutional values and sustain development. He urged citizens to work together for progress while preserving unity and democratic principles. The event concluded with patriotic fervour, marking Republic Day celebrations in Telangana with pride and optimism.
