The annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple near Jubilee Hills will be celebrated from February 17 to February 25, 2026, turning the temple premises into a vibrant centre of devotion. Devotees from Hyderabad and surrounding regions are eagerly preparing to witness the nine-day spiritual event.
Sacred Rituals Set the Spiritual Tone
To begin with, Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam will take place on February 10. During this ritual, priests will purify the sanctum and temple premises using sanctified water mixed with fragrant substances. This cleansing ceremony will run from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
Afterwards, devotees can participate in Sarva Darshan from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing them to seek blessings ahead of the grand celebrations.
Later, on the evening of February 16, the temple will observe Ankurarpana, marking the formal spiritual start of the Brahmotsavams. From that moment, the temple atmosphere will remain charged with devotion and sacred chants.
Vahanam Sevas Highlight Divine Grandeur
From February 17, the Brahmotsavams will unfold with daily Vahanam Sevas, held in the morning from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM and again in the evening from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, unless specified otherwise.
The festivities will open with Dwajarohanam on February 17, followed by Pedda Sesha Vahanam at night. Subsequently, devotees will witness a series of divine vahanams, including Chinna Sesha, Hamsa, Simha, Muthyapu Pandiri, Kalpavriksha, Sarvabhoopala, Hanumantha, Gaja, Surya Prabha, and Chandra Prabha.
Meanwhile, Garuda Vahanam on February 21, scheduled between 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM, is expected to draw large crowds. Later, the celebrations will reach a peak with Rathotsavam on February 24. Finally, Chakrasnanam and Dwajavarohanam on February 25 will mark the conclusion of the main festivities.
Cultural Programmes Enhance Devotional Spirit
Along with rituals, cultural performances will enrich the celebrations each day. Before the Vahanam Sevas, Kolata dances and Bhajan programmes will take place under the guidance of the TTD Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad. In addition, artists from the Annamacharya Project will render devotional Annamacharya Sankeertanas, adding spiritual depth to the event.
Ultimately, the Brahmotsavams will conclude with Pushpayagam on February 26 at 3:00 PM. Altogether, the Jubilee Hills Brahmotsavams promise a deeply uplifting experience, blending devotion, tradition, and cultural heritage for thousands of devotees.
