Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu began a two-day tour of Guntur and Kuppam, focusing on healthcare, education, employment, and sustainable development. The visit highlights the government’s goal of strengthening public services while creating long-term growth opportunities across regions.
Major Healthcare Boost in Guntur
The Chief Minister inaugurated the Mother and Child Health Centre building at the Guntur Government Hospital. This new facility aims to improve medical care for mothers and newborns. Alumni of Guntur Medical College, operating as the GMC Alumni of North America, contributed ₹100 crore to support this project. Their contribution strengthens hospital infrastructure and expands access to quality healthcare for thousands of families.
Large-Scale Development Works in Kuppam
After the Guntur programme, Chandrababu Naidu moved to Kuppam, where he participated in development and welfare initiatives worth nearly ₹690 crore. On the first day, he inaugurated the Agastya Vidyachal Academy, constructed at a cost of ₹3 crore. The academy focuses on improving educational opportunities for local students.
He also laid the foundation stones for two key projects. The Learners’ Accommodation Facility Centre will come up with an investment of ₹10 crore. The Obarai Visitors Centre, estimated at ₹2 crore, aims to improve facilities for visitors and support local tourism.
E-Cycle Distribution and Industrial Investments
On the second day, the Chief Minister took part in the distribution of 5,555 electric cycles. This initiative encourages eco-friendly transport and supports students and working youth. He later attended a programme where the state signed agreements with seven new industries.
These industrial partnerships are set to attract investments of ₹675.24 crore. They are also expected to create employment for nearly 12,000 people, providing a strong boost to the regional economy.
Net-Zero Vision and Urban Planning Review
Chandrababu Naidu launched a plan to transform the Kuppam constituency into a net-zero region. He also reviewed the Kuppam Master Plan and model bus stand designs prepared by Surbana Jurong. The review focused on sustainable urban development and modern public infrastructure.
Meeting with Party Cadre
On Sunday, the Chief Minister met party cadre in Kuppam and discussed organisational strategies. He returned to Amaravati later the same day, concluding a tour centred on healthcare expansion, infrastructure growth, and job creation.
