The Andhra Pradesh government will allot plots to Amaravati farmers today under the second phase of land return. Farmers who gave land for the Seed Access Road will receive plots through an e-lottery system. As a result, the process aims to ensure fairness and clarity. Earlier, officials planned the lottery for January 28. However, they shifted it to January 29 to complete final preparations.

E-Lottery Process Ensures Transparency

The Capital Region Development Authority will conduct the plot allotment through an online random system. This method removes manual involvement and avoids errors. Moreover, farmers will witness the process directly, which builds trust.

At the same time, officials confirmed that the entire process follows approved rules. Therefore, every eligible farmer gets an equal chance during the allotment.

Government Addresses Street Plot Concerns

Meanwhile, the government resolved issues related to street-facing plots in Amaravati. Several farmers raised concerns over narrow roads and uneven access. In addition, some plots faced problems due to road width changes.

To address this, a three-member committee reviewed the matter. Based on its suggestions, the government allowed plot allotment in alternative locations. Furthermore, officials identified 112 plots that lacked registration or mutation. These steps help prevent future disputes.

Plots Allotted to Undavalli Farmers

On Thursday, January 29, 2026, CRDA officials allotted returnable plots to farmers from Undavalli village. These farmers had given land for the Seed Axis Road. The allotment took place at the AP CRDA office in Rayapudi.

In total, 21 plots were allotted to 16 farmers. Of these, 13 are residential plots, while 8 are commercial plots. First, officials conducted a trial run of the online system. Later, they completed the live e-lottery in the presence of farmers.

Provisional Certificates Handed Over

After the allotment, officials issued provisional certificates to the farmers. As a result, beneficiaries can move ahead with registration without delay. This step also speeds up the land return process.

CRDA Calls for Early Registration

Finally, CRDA Special Grade Deputy Collector (Capital City) Vasantharayudu advised farmers to complete registration quickly. He also stated that GIS staff and village surveyors will help farmers locate their plots on the ground.

Planning Director B. Suresh Kumar, Special Deputy Collector A. G. Chinnikrishna, and CRDA officials attended the programme. Overall, the event marked another step forward in fulfilling promises made to Amaravati farmers.
