Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh strongly criticised the previous YSRCP government, accusing it of actions that harmed the sanctity and reputation of Tirumala. He made these remarks while addressing party leaders and workers during a training programme organised for Telugu Desam Party presidents and general secretaries at the town, ward, and mandal levels.
Strong Message to Party Cadre
While speaking to the gathering, Lokesh said the earlier regime relied on false narratives to mislead the public. He stressed that spreading misinformation had become a deliberate strategy. Therefore, he urged TDP workers to remain alert and counter such claims with facts and unity. He made it clear that silence would only strengthen negative propaganda.
Call to Protect Coalition Unity
Lokesh warned that attempts were underway to weaken the ruling coalition. However, he asserted that no force could succeed in breaking the alliance. Even during challenging times, he asked party members to stay united and actively resist divisive campaigns. Unity, he said, remains the strongest shield against political conspiracies.
Responsibility Lies With Grassroots Leaders
At the same time, Lokesh placed responsibility squarely on grassroots leaders. He said town, ward, and mandal-level leaders play a vital role in shaping public opinion. Because of this, he encouraged them to engage directly with people and clarify misleading claims before they spread further.
Focus on Party Strength and Coordination
Lokesh emphasised that strengthening the party should remain the primary goal of every worker. He highlighted that coordination and mutual respect among coalition leaders are essential for long-term success. Without internal harmony, he warned, even strong political movements could lose direction.
Appeal for Discipline and Commitment
In conclusion, Lokesh appealed to party cadres to work with discipline and dedication. He said every activist must act as a messenger of truth while standing firm against false narratives. By doing so, he added, the party could safeguard public trust and move forward with confidence.
The training programme ended with a renewed call for unity, clarity, and grassroots action, setting the tone for the party’s future political strategy.
