The Tirumala laddu ghee controversy continues to trigger political reactions in Andhra Pradesh. YSR Congress Party leaders have strongly objected to what they call a deliberate attempt to spread misinformation for political gain.
YSRCP Rejects Allegations on Laddu Prasadam
YSRCP leaders stated that claims about the use of adulterated ghee in Tirumala laddu prasadam are baseless. They alleged that the ruling coalition is spreading false narratives to target the previous government. Moreover, they urged leaders to stop dragging religious sentiments into politics.
Devineni Avinash Leads Special Prayers
As part of the response, NTR district YSRCP president Devineni Avinash led special prayers at the Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Labbipet, Vijayawada. Party leaders and supporters joined the rituals to express faith and unity.
Before the prayers, YSRCP members conducted a rally from Bandar Road to the temple premises. The procession drew attention from devotees and residents alike.
Call to Keep Politics Away From Faith
Speaking on the occasion, Devineni Avinash said politics should never hide behind religion. He stressed that using God’s name for political advantage is unacceptable. At the same time, he claimed that the YSRCP government delivered welfare benefits to all sections of society during its tenure.
Appeal to End Misinformation Campaigns
Furthermore, party leaders appealed to stop what they described as a continuous misinformation drive. They emphasised that faith should unite people, not divide them. According to them, such controversies only hurt public trust and religious harmony.
Strong Message From Vijayawada
Through prayers and peaceful protests, the YSRCP attempted to send a clear message. The party reiterated its respect for Tirumala traditions while rejecting allegations surrounding laddu prasadam. Leaders maintained that truth should prevail over political narratives.
