Devotee rush continues at Tirumala, the abode of Lord Venkateswara, with waiting times stretching through the day. On Sunday, devotees required nearly 15 to 18 hours to have darshan of the presiding deity.
Pilgrims lined up in 31 compartments to access Sarva Darshan, reflecting the sustained influx despite crowd management measures.
Darshan and Tonsure Statistics
On Saturday, a total of 81,777 devotees had darshan of Lord Venkateswara. During the same period, 30,209 devotees offered their hair as part of the tonsure ritual at the temple.
TTD officials confirmed that the Srivari Hundi collected ₹3.70 crore in offerings for the day. The revenue highlights the steady flow of devotees visiting the hill shrine.
Dignitaries Offer Prayers
Several prominent personalities visited Tirumala on Sunday morning. Andhra Pradesh High Court judge TCD Sekhar offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara.
AP BJP president PVN Madhav and Minister BC Janardhan Reddy also visited the temple separately and fulfilled their vows. Film actress Nidhhi Agerwal had darshan of the deity during the day.
Crowd Management Continues
Temple authorities continued crowd regulation and darshan scheduling to manage the heavy footfall. Officials advised devotees to plan their visits carefully and follow instructions issued by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.
