A three-storey building collapsed in the Talwandi area of Kota, Rajasthan, on Saturday night, killing two people and injuring several others. The accident sent shockwaves through the busy neighbourhood and created panic among residents.

Rescue teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) rushed to the scene immediately. Working tirelessly, they managed to pull five people safely from the debris and transported them to nearby hospitals. Authorities fear that more individuals may still be trapped under the rubble, but the exact number of occupants at the time of the collapse has not been confirmed.

Officials noted that the building is usually crowded during the day, raising concerns about a potentially higher casualty count. Police quickly coordinated with disaster management teams to speed up rescue operations. Ambulances and medical teams remained on standby to provide immediate treatment to those affected.

Heavy machinery has been deployed to aid the rescue, and personnel are carefully clearing debris to prevent further injuries. Meanwhile, local police restricted public movement and managed traffic near the site to ensure smooth rescue efforts. Authorities urged residents to stay away from the area until the operation is complete.

The cause of the building collapse is still unclear. Officials confirmed that an investigation will begin after the rescue operations conclude. As teams continue searching for survivors, authorities closely monitor the situation and promised to release updates as soon as possible.

Residents watched in distress as emergency crews worked through the night, hoping for the safe recovery of anyone trapped. Officials have warned that the death toll may rise if more victims are found under the debris.

This tragic incident highlights the urgent need for building safety inspections and timely emergency preparedness in urban areas.
