A fresh development has emerged in the controversial Mohan Babu Varsity fee issue, linked to the alleged kidnapping of SFI leaders. Tiruchanur police have issued formal notices to actor Manchu Vishnu in connection with the case, intensifying the legal spotlight on the high-profile controversy.
Police directed Manchu Vishnu to appear for questioning within three days. In response, Vishnu informed the authorities that he would attend the inquiry on the 15th of this month. Officials confirmed that the notice forms part of the ongoing investigation into the alleged kidnapping incident involving student organisation leaders.
Meanwhile, police have not yet served notices on senior actor Mohan Babu in the same case. However, investigators clarified that the probe remains active and further action will follow based on evidence and witness statements.
Arrests Already Made in the Case
Earlier, Tiruchanur police arrested 13 individuals in connection with the kidnapping case, including PRO Satish. Authorities stated that the arrests came after preliminary investigations revealed their alleged involvement in the incident.
The case stems from protests over fee-related issues at Mohan Babu Varsity, which escalated into a major controversy after SFI leaders reportedly went missing. The matter triggered political reactions and public debate across the state.
Police officials said the investigation continues and assured that they will question all relevant individuals as part of the due legal process. Further developments are expected in the coming days as the inquiry progresses.
