In the Palamaneru constituency of Chittoor district, a young entrepreneur is making waves despite facing tremendous hardships from a very young age. Laxman Kumar Reddy has shown that with determination and courage, one can overcome any challenge.
A Childhood of Hardships
Laxman lost his father, Venkatesh, when he was just 16. His father had moved to Palamaneru to run a Monopabrics (agriculture net) business, which he managed to sustain until his untimely death in 2013. Laxman, then in 10th grade, had to take on family responsibilities while continuing his education.
Not long after, tragedy struck again when his mother, Rani, fell seriously ill. Despite his young age, Laxman balanced running the business and caring for his mother while completing his diploma studies.
Overcoming Debt and Betrayal
In 2022, Laxman’s mother passed away, leaving him entirely on his own. During this period, some companies refused to support him, pushing him into debts of nearly ₹90 lakh. Laxman faced extreme hardships, including days when he had nothing to eat.
Yet, he refused to give up. He relied on his father’s teachings and his inner courage to rebuild the business from scratch. Slowly, he overcame obstacles and restarted the company independently.
Building a Legacy and Providing Jobs
Today, Laxman Kumar Reddy employs around 15 people in his Monopabrics company. Colleagues describe him as a caring leader who treats employees like family and supports them during hardships.
Alongside the Monopabrics business, he now runs five-star hotels like Green Chillies and Dawat in Palamaneru, creating more employment opportunities in the region.

In an era where many young people depend heavily on social media or lose hope due to setbacks, Laxman Kumar Reddy’s journey is a beacon of perseverance.
