Tirupati: With Maha Shivaratri just a day away, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is fully ready to welcome devotees at Sri Kapileswara Swamy temple on February 15. Devotees can expect a smooth and spiritually fulfilling experience thanks to detailed preparations.
Devotee Facilities and Crowd Management
TTD has organised parking, barricading, queue lines, shades, Annarpasadam distribution, water supply, and security to handle the anticipated large pilgrim crowd efficiently. Starting early Sunday, these arrangements will guide devotees through the temple premises safely. Additionally, volunteers will assist pilgrims at every step, ensuring minimal waiting time.
Maha Shivaratri Rituals and Timings
The day begins with the Mahanyasapoorvaka Ekadasi Rudrabhishekam from 2:30 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. Later, the temple will conduct the Rathotsavam between 11 a.m. and 12 noon, followed immediately by Snapana Tirumanjanam. In the evening, the Nandi Vahana Seva will be observed from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Darshan Opportunities for Devotees
Devotees can participate in darshan twice: from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and then from 4:30 p.m. to midnight. These extended hours will allow more pilgrims to witness the rituals comfortably. TTD staff will monitor the queues and manage crowd flow throughout the day.
Lingodbhava Darshana and Siva-Parvati Kalyanam
On February 16, devotees will witness the Lingodbhava Darshana Abhishekam from 12 a.m. to 4 a.m. Later in the evening, Sri Kamakshi Sameta Sri Kapileswara Swamy will bless devotees during the celestial Siva-Parvati Kalyanam from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Devotees can join the Kalyanam by purchasing a ticket for Rs. 500, which allows two people per ticket.
Safety and Smooth Conduct
TTD has deployed adequate security personnel to maintain order, and volunteers will guide pilgrims to ensure a safe and orderly experience. Devotees are encouraged to follow instructions, use queue lines properly, and cooperate with staff. These measures will help everyone enjoy the festival peacefully while taking part in all spiritual rituals.
