Indian Railways has taken a major step to enhance passenger transport facilities. The Guntur-Guntakal doubling project reached a crucial milestone with the successful completion of the 320-meter-long Gajulapalli-Chelima tunnel excavation.
The Ministry of Railways officially announced the progress, highlighting that the completion of this tunnel will accelerate the doubling work. Authorities emphasised that this development will strengthen the railway network in the region and improve train operations significantly.
With this achievement, passengers can expect faster and more efficient train services, and the project moves closer to its goal of modernising rail infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh and surrounding areas.
