Next Steps for Students
The second session of JEE Main 2026 is now open for registration. Exams are scheduled from April 2 to April 9. Students can use this opportunity to improve their scores and strengthen their final ranking.
Furthermore, the final ranking will consider the best score from both sessions. Consequently, the top 2.50 lakh students will qualify for JEE Advanced, which is the gateway to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
After clearing JEE Advanced, students can participate in JoSAA counselling to secure seats in prestigious IITs. This ensures a transparent and fair allocation of engineering seats across India.
With proper planning and preparation, aspirants can take advantage of both sessions and maximise their chances for IIT admissions.
