Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu strongly criticised the previous government’s land policies during his visit to Rayavaram in East Godavari district. On Friday, he launched the ‘My Land – My Right’ programme and distributed new Pattadar Passbooks with a royal seal to farmers.
Addressing the gathering, Chandrababu Naidu said the earlier government introduced the Land Titling Act to seize people’s lands. He stated that his government repealed the Act immediately after coming to power. “I personally signed the repeal to ensure farmers never suffer again,” he said.
‘Why Is His Photo on Our Land?’
The Chief Minister questioned the presence of former CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s photograph on land records and boundary stones. “Why should anyone place their photo on land earned by our ancestors?” he asked. He described it as an act of arrogance and misuse of power.
Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the previous regime planned to hand over lands to selected people under the Land Titling Act. He added that sensitive land data was mishandled during that period. According to him, voters stopped this plan by voting wisely.

Blockchain-Based Protection
Explaining the new system, the Chief Minister said his government introduced blockchain technology to protect land records. He said this method prevents tampering and ensures transparency. Farmers can scan the QR code on their passbooks to view land details instantly.
He also announced that resurveys are underway to remove long-pending disputes. Officials will distribute passbooks through gram sabhas instead of offices. This step, he said, will improve trust among people.
‘Land Is a Farmer’s Faith’
Chandrababu Naidu said land is not just property but a farmer’s faith. He reminded people that farmers worked even during the COVID-19 period. Due to earlier policies, land complaints increased across the state, he noted.
He concluded by directing officials to ensure quick delivery of passbooks to all eligible farmers. The Chief Minister reaffirmed that his government will safeguard land rights with transparency and technology.
