The upcoming CII Summit Andhra Pradesh 2025 in Visakhapatnam is set to become a turning point for the State’s investment landscape. The two-day event, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in collaboration with the Government of Andhra Pradesh (GoAP), will see the signing of several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) across key sectors from green hydrogen and aerospace to tourism, IT, and agribusiness.
CM Naidu to pitch AP’s Investment vision at CII summit
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will lead the State’s efforts at the CII Summit Andhra Pradesh, highlighting the State’s policy reforms, infrastructure readiness, and investor-friendly governance. The CII summit at Andhra University Engineering College Grounds in Visakhapatnam on November 14–15 is set to attract global participants from countries including Japan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Russia, and Singapore
Officials said the event will project Andhra Pradesh as a ‘Gateway to Growth’, showcasing Visakhapatnam as a global investment destination for manufacturing, logistics, and innovation-driven industries.
Focus on Green Hydrogen, Defence, and Tourism sectors
The CII Summit Andhra Pradesh 2025 will unveil major projects aimed at positioning the State as a clean-energy and industrial powerhouse.
- The session titled ‘Andhra Pradesh – Green Hydrogen Valley of the Country’ will present the State’s roadmap to become India’s Green Hydrogen Hub by 2029. It includes establishing India’s first Green Hydrogen Skilling Centre, training 2,000 specialists annually and promoting indigenous R&D partnerships.
- In the ‘Andhra as a Strategic Hub for Defence Manufacturing, Aerospace, Space & Drones Ecosystem’ session, leading Indian and global companies are expected to sign MoUs to set up defence and aerospace manufacturing units in Andhra Pradesh.
- The ‘From Coastal Charm to Global Conferences’ session will spotlight Andhra Pradesh’s growing tourism potential, inviting investment in luxury resorts, eco-tourism, convention centres, and beach development projects.
Technology, Quantum Innovation, and Smart Cities
A key highlight of the CII Summit Andhra Pradesh will be the focus on emerging technologies and urban innovation.
The ‘Atmanirbhar Quantum’ session will showcase Andhra Pradesh’s pioneering work in quantum computing and AI, featuring collaborations between the state, academic institutions, and tech start-ups. Meanwhile, the ‘Sustainable Cities: From Vision to Investments’ session will explore opportunities in green infrastructure, smart mobility, and circular economy models, positioning the state as a leader in sustainable urban growth.
Global partnerships and country sessions
Dedicated country sessions with Japan, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and Russia will emphasize bilateral cooperation in technology, logistics, renewable energy, and advanced manufacturing. Japan’s continued collaboration in Andhra Pradesh’s industrial corridors and port modernization will be a key focus area.
The summit will also feature an open-mic discussion on investor perspectives, where global executives will share experiences of setting up operations in Andhra Pradesh’s electronics, semiconductor, and component manufacturing sectors.
The State government will also highlight its innovative Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) and One Family One Entrepreneur (OFOE) initiatives, designed to strengthen the startup ecosystem. These programmes integrate mentorship, funding, and product innovation to nurture entrepreneurs from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
CII DG and Union Minister of Industry expected to attend
The valedictory session of the CII Summit Andhra Pradesh 2025 will be attended by Governor Syed Abdul Nazeer, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Senior CII leaders such as R. Dinesh, Dr. Suchitra K. Ella, and CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee will also participate.
CII expects the summit to generate thousands of crores in investment commitments, positioning Andhra Pradesh among the top investment destinations in India.
The CII Summit Andhra Pradesh 2025 represents the State’s renewed push for industrial transformation through technology, sustainability, and global partnerships. With MoUs across strategic sectors and collaboration from major economies, Andhra Pradesh is poised to emerge as the investment powerhouse of South India.
