Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday issued a strong warning against Bangladeshi infiltrators, stating that the central government will deport them wherever they are found in the country, not just in Assam.

Strong Message From Assam Rally

Addressing a public rally in Assam, Amit Shah said illegal Bangladeshi immigrants pose a serious threat to the state’s culture, identity, and demographic balance. He accused the Congress party of treating infiltrators as a vote bank and opposing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists only to protect illegal voters.

According to Shah, the opposition alliance is deliberately blocking reforms that aim to identify genuine citizens and remove illegal names from electoral rolls.

Attack on Congress, Praise for BJP Governance

Amit Shah said that despite ruling Assam for decades, Congress failed to deliver development or protect indigenous communities. In contrast, he highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has focused on both cultural preservation and overall development.

Moreover, Shah stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Assam government reclaimed over one lakh bighas of land allegedly encroached upon by illegal infiltrators.

Appeal to Voters

The Home Minister urged people to give the BJP another opportunity to completely eliminate infiltration from the state. He added that peace has returned to Assam due to BJP’s efforts, including peace agreements with several militant groups over the last 11 years.

National Security a Priority

Finally, Amit Shah reiterated that national security and cultural identity remain top priorities for the BJP-led government. He assured that strict action will continue against illegal immigration across India.
