In a heartfelt tribute to the legendary freedom fighter Potti Sriramulu, HRD and IT Minister Nara Lokesh laid the foundation stone for a grand auditorium, memorial garden, and a 58-foot bronze statue on 6.8 acres of government-allocated land between Tulluru and Pedapari in Amaravati. The project, a joint initiative of the Coalition Government and the Immortal Potti Sriramulu Memorial Trust, honors the legacy of a man whose sacrifice paved the way for the aspirations of millions of Telugu people.
The ceremony saw Minister Lokesh garlanding the statue of Potti Sriramulu, paying rich tributes to his enduring contributions. Addressing a public gathering at the site, Lokesh emphasized the emotional significance of the project, stating, “Erecting this statue is not merely a commitment—it is a deeply personal emotion for me.” He reaffirmed the government’s full support for establishing the memorial garden, ensuring it stands as a lasting symbol of Sriramulu’s sacrifice and vision.
The initiative reflects the Coalition Government’s dedication to preserving the legacy of iconic figures who shaped the Telugu identity, with the memorial set to become a beacon of inspiration for future generations.
