Actor Huma Qureshi has stepped into a strikingly dark and gothic role as Elizabeth in Yash’s upcoming pan-India film Toxic – A Fairytale for Grown-Ups. On Sunday, the makers unveiled her first-look poster, instantly grabbing attention across social media and film circles.

In the newly released poster, Huma appears against a haunting cemetery backdrop, dressed in a dramatic black gown. Notably, her look blends old-world elegance with a gothic sensibility, hinting at the mysterious tone of the film. This reveal comes shortly after the introduction of Kiara Advani’s character, Nadia, further building anticipation around the project.

Huma Qureshi on Working with Geetu Mohandas

Sharing the poster on Instagram, Huma Qureshi credited director Geetu Mohandas for shaping the character of Elizabeth. Reflecting on their early conversations, she wrote that she was “bowled over by the sheer audacity and magnitude” of what the team planned to achieve.

Moreover, she described the journey as deeply fulfilling. According to Huma, watching Geetu bring the film to life every day felt “nothing short of magical.” Her words underline the creative ambition behind Toxic, which promises a visually rich and emotionally intense narrative.

Star-Studded Cast Raises Expectations

Apart from Yash and Huma Qureshi, the film also stars Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria in pivotal roles. While the makers have revealed only a few character looks so far, they have confirmed that more introductions will follow soon.

Meanwhile, Toxic – A Fairytale for Grown-Ups continues to generate strong buzz as one of the most awaited pan-India films. With its dark aesthetic, powerful cast, and bold storytelling, the film is expected to offer a fresh cinematic experience for audiences nationwide.
